DMCA & Content Removal
Last updated: June 11, 2026
Budget Leases respects intellectual property rights. We index publicly advertised rental information and link renters to each property’s own website. If something on our site is yours and you want it corrected or removed, this page explains how, and we act on valid requests quickly.
Designated Agent of Record
Budget Leases has registered a DMCA designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office.
The fastest path: report it on the listing
Every listing has a Report an issue button. Choose “Photo issue or removal request” or “I own this content or property”, include your email, and it goes straight to our team with the listing already identified. This is usually faster than a formal notice and gets the same result.
Formal DMCA takedown notice
To file a formal notice of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512), send the following to support@budgetleases.com with the subject “DMCA Notice”:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
- The URL(s) on budgetleases.com where the material appears.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for them.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We respond promptly to complete notices, normally by removing or disabling access to the identified material. We may forward your notice to the affected party. Under § 512(f), knowingly material misrepresentations in a notice can carry liability, so please make sure your claim is accurate.
Counter-notices
If material you posted was removed because of a notice and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address with your contact information, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was a mistake, your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or any judicial district where Budget Leases may be found, if outside the US), and your signature.
Repeat infringers
We terminate access for users or contributors who are repeat infringers, in appropriate circumstances.
Not a copyright issue? We still want to know
Property managers: if a listing shows your building and you want details corrected, photos swapped for your own, or the listing removed entirely, you do not need a formal notice. Use Claim this listing on the listing page or email us, and we will sort it out, usually within one business day.
